Comments

The building depicted on the back is the Dacheng Hall of the Temple of Confucius, Qufu, Shantung (Shandong). The governor's signature is of H.H. Kung (Kung Hsiang-hsi), who was also the Minister of Finance (among other positions). The Kung family is said to be descended from Confucius, as such he was a 75th generation descendant of Confucius.
