This pin was given to fundraising software developer and data scientist Charles (Chuck) Longfield at a fundraising industry conference. Starting in the late 1970s, Longfield built software systems and conducted research to enhance nonprofits’ fundraising capabilities and donor data management systems. In 2012, he received the Direct Marketing Association’s Max Hart Nonprofit Achievement Award, which honors fundraising professionals for career accomplishments.
In addition to his work in the fundraising industry, Longfield helped to develop the Case-Schiller home price index. He is a philanthropist in his own right, with a focus on education.
