Description (Brief)
Matthew Shepard was a college student, targeted for being gay, robbed, and brutally murdered in Laramie, Wyoming, in 1998. This wallet was sent to him during the few days that he was hospitalized, in a coma before he died. The killers took Matthew's wallet. The wallet and a Get Well Soon card (2019.0004.27.02) were sent by Larry Whiteley, Wilton Manors, FL.
