Twisted skein of pink silk, aniline-dyed. One of several cocoon samples and three skeins of reeled silk (yellow/natural; white/bleached, and dyed/pink) forwarded the the US National Museum by US Consul John O. Sanders, from Merida, Venezuela, in 1924. The samples were given to the Consul by a local sericulturist, Mr. Briceno Gabaldon. Mr. Sanders reported on sericulture in Merida in his Consular report of June 1923, file no. 862.2Twisted skein of pink silk, aniline-dyed.
