- These pigment samples were purchased from the Metropolitan Museum of Art. One lump of ochre from the tomb of Senwosret-ankhe, XII Dynasty (2000-1780 B.C.). Three lumps of blue frit, province unknown. One powdered ochre pigment found discarded outside of the Tomb of Pery-neb, VI Dynasty (2300-2100 B.C.).
