Description
Hand balance with 4.25-inch steel beam; two brass pans; and six square brass weights (marked 3, 4, 8, 16, 32, and 64; the two smallest ones are missing). The whole fits in a rectangular wooden case. The brass cover for the weights is marked “YOUNG & SON / SCALE MAKERS / BEAR STREET / LEICESTER SQUARE.” A steel forceps slides into the side of the case.
