Double-dome lidded baluster measure with crowned seal and plain embryo-shell thumb piece; gill size. Two incised lines around the galleried rim, two pairs around body, and one at flared base. Strap handle with stepped thumbrest and short scroll terminal; cylindrical strut with circular attachment. Rim exterior is stamped near front "GILL" in incuse serif letters with partial Perth County verification mark to right.
Imperial lidded measures are considered to be a Glasgow type. They rarely have a maker's mark.
