- Description
- Small Chartres type bulbous or bellied flagon or pichet with a high collar cut away at back for the flat inset lid, which is stamped incuse "P D" and incised with two concentric circles at center; no spout. Beaded angled tab thumb piece and lamb's-tongue extension. Molded bands around top of neck, shoulder, and lower body above flared base. Faint incised lines around collar. Strap handle with ridged thumbrest and short square terminal; cylindrical strut. No other marks.
