Description
Small Troyes type shouldered flagon or pichet with tall tapered neck and cylindrical lower half; inset flat bottom. Five-lobed shell or anthemion thumb piece with wedge extension burnt to the heart-shaped pouted lid, which is stamped incuse "P V". Two pairs of incised lines around rim and bottom of body. Plain strap handle with square lower terminal. Bottom underside has two faint concentric circles at center and is struck once to one side with undecipherable, partial touchmark.
