Quarter Gill Beaker

Description:

Quarter gill beaker with two bands of five grooves near the plain rim and base. Rim exterior stamped "QUARTER GILL" in incuse serif letters, to the right of two crowned "VR" verification marks, one for London County ("21 / LCC") and one for Reigate ("572"). Scratched on bottom exterior "XI". No maker's marks.

Early date for both verification marks is 1891.
