Quart Measure

Description:

Bristol Low or West Country measure; quart size. Plain, squat conical or ovoid body; plain, everted rim with pouring spout and notches at sides; molded, flared foot. Tapered, S-scroll handle has an S-curved thumbrest; upper terminal attached at top of rim and short lower terminal near bottom of body. Body stamped on front "QUART" in incuse sans serif letters. Rim exterior stamped to left of handle "W. G. EDMONDS & C\o / DUBLIN" in incuse serif letters. Rim interior has crowned verification mark.
