Gill Measure

Description:

Lidless bulbous or bellied measure with a beaded, galleried rim and cast circular flared foot; gill size. Two incised lines at shoulder. Tapered, S-scroll handle with incurved thumbrest and lower bud terminal with oval attachment at seam. Front of rim stamped "GILL" in raised serif letters inside a rectangle.
