- Description
- Uncrested tappit hen measure with a nine-lobed shell thumb piece and flat-domed lid with raised disk engraved "WG / IW"; chopin size. Body has a molded rim and plain base with four incised lines around rim, one around neck, and sets of three around shoulder and base. S-scroll handle with stepped thumbrest and spade terminal. Interior with plouk or pimple below rim indicating capacity level and two concentric circles on flat bottom. Partial verification mark for Edinburgh on rim exterior to left of handle. Bottom exterior scratched with what appears to be a "W".
