Description
Baluster measure with ball-and-bar thumb piece; half pint size. Body with galleried rim and flared base; two incised lines around rim, two pairs around body, and one at foot. Plain strap handle with short terminal; cylindrical strut. Flat lid has two concentric circles and a partial stamp at center "I(?)C" in raised letters inside a rectangle. Rim exterior with crowned George IV Edinburgh verification mark to left of handle.
The George IV mark indicates date made is pre-1830.
