Description
Bracket-handled, cylindrical metric measure with a sloped collar pinched into spout at front and an overhanging pouted lid; molded lower rim and base. Curved-back thumb piece with flat extension; five-knuckle hinge has hinge pin domed at one end. Stamped on front of body "DEMI / DECILITRE" in incuse serif letters; on front of lower rim with clasped hands in an oval next to "51"; on face of handle and tip of lid with clasped hands mark; and on extension and to right of handle with an indecipherible number of letter verification marks. Underside of flat bottom struck once with partial circular touchmark "[???]SEUR (arched) / [???]40 / [???]AEN (curved)" in raised serif letters.
