- Description
- Bracket-handled, lidded and spouted, cylindrical metric measure with a seven-lobed convex shell thumb piece; molded lower rim and base. Flat-top cylinder lid with molded rim is stamped "L H" and "2" between concentric circles on top. Inset, curved spout; no cover. Five-knuckle hinge and stepped thumbrest. Erased "LITRE" stamp on face of handle. Lower rim to right and left of handle are struck with thirteen marks, including eight Greek letters in circles and "U / 3" in a rounded rectangle. Underside of flat bottom struck once with arched rectangular touchmark "I.VAN DE STEELE" and scratched with an "X".
