- Description
- Capstan or loggerhead type inkwell with truncated conical body having a flared collar above a flat top with central circular opening covered by a rounded lid on three-knuckle hinge surrounded by five holes for holding quills; flat bottom. Pairs of grooves on lid and body. Blue-gray in color. Contains a tapered cylindrical, glazed whiteware insert or liner with cyma-molded top for ink. No marks.
