Description
Stamp box in the shape of a Swiss chalet, hinged at back along top balcony; slanted interior plate. Box is attached to a raised base in imitation of rocky terrain. Base underside is struck incuse "DEPOSE" in sans serif letters above a six-pointed star adjoining six-spoke wheel ("Wheel of Mainz" or "Mainzer Rad") next to a combined crescent moon and imperial crown (Reichsmark) over "800"; "38" stamped at lower right.
