- Serpentine-sided, rectangular case with side-hinged lid and identical repousse decoration on front and back featuring a central, raised oval reserve framed by gadrooning and symmetrical scrollwork; incurved strike plate at bottom. Collar outside struck "STERLING" in incuse sans serif letters. No other marks.
