Description:

Asymmetrical, wavy-sided, rectangular case with side-hinged lid featuring repousse C scrolls and small flowers on front surrounding a raised reserve engraved "Oct 31\st / 1903" in script. Plain, concave back. Serrated bottom edge for striking matches. Gold-washed interior. Front side of collar is struck incuse with the initials "UB" superimposed in an outlined circle and "STERLING 925 FINE" in sans serif letters.

Maker is Unger Bros. of Newark, NJ; in business, 1872-1919.
