Rounded rectangular case with incurved, side-hinged lid featuring an identical repousse vignette on both sides of a mustachioed man paddling a canoe to the lower right with wooded, tree-lined banks behind him. Faint, gold washed interior. Strike plate at bottom. Collar outside is struck incuse on one side (hinge at left) "STERLING" in sans serif letters.
