Slim, rectangular, hinged case with identical, repousse chased covers featuring an asymmetrical, ruffled shell reserve at center and smaller triple-ruffled shells at sides surrounded by fruits, flowers and C scrolls. Retainer band fixed lengthwise inside one cover; small wire attached along hinge. Snap closure with pin. Inside front of back cover struck incuse to left of closure "STERLING" in roman letters. No other marks.
