- Description
- Elaborate Suffolk-type latch from door of Hubbardston, Massachusetts, Congregational Meeting House. Large flat cusps have symmetrical scrolled and pointed finials, the upper more attenuated than the lower. Thumb-press latch handle on front, becoming a curved lift bar on back. Chiseled decoration on front of handle in form of two lozenges between horizontal grooves.
