Description
This device is so designed that, by balancing a quantity of grain in the cup, the beam will indicate how many pounds it will weigh to the bushel. In this example, the beam is marked “Patd Dec / 18 1877” and the poise is marked “Bushel” and “E. & T. Fairbanks & Co.” and “St. Johnsbury / VT” and “6754.”
