- Glass hydrometer with ballast, and paper label marked “MADE IN U.S.A. PERCENTAGE OF PROOF SPIRITS AT 60° F. KIMBLE GLASS COMPANY.” Another paper label is marked “U.S. BUREAU OF INTERNAL REVENUE / STANDARD HYDROMETER” and “SERIES OF 1945.” Evan Kimble established the Kimble Glass Co., in Chicago, in 1902, and later relocated to Vineland, N.J.
