Moon Watch Flag

Description:

This is one of the 500 Earth Flags that John McConnell (its designer) ordered from American Flag Co. in N.J. These flags were featured at the Moon Watch in Central Park to celebrate the moon landing on July 20, 1969. And, since McConnell was working on the concept of Earth Day, the flag became a symbol of that event as well.
