- Shell jacket worn by Henry S. Gansevoort when a member of the 7th New York National Guard in 1861, during the American Civil War. The cadet gray wool jacket has black lace trim on a standing collar, black shoulder straps, black cuff patches with three buttons, brown lining, and New York state buttons down its front.
