Good afternoon, The stamp on the ricasso (F.B.D) stands for François Backes and François Delacour, french swords producers. Like the blades made by Coulaux in Klingenthal, this sword may have been ordered during the Civil War by Schuyler, Hartley, & Graham who also bought Clauberg blades in Solingen. Regards
