Description
Oil painting on white illustration board. Painting is a bust portrait of Major General Henry Spiese Aurand. The painting is a profile view, and he is facing to the left. The insignia on his jacket are: a Distinguished Service Medal ribbon (awarded three times), a Bronze Star ribbon, a Gold Lifesaving Medal ribbon, and three unidentifiable awards. The two stars on Aurand's shoulder indicate that he is a Major General, and the "U.S." insignia on his collar indicate that is an officer.
