Manning has two gold chevrons on his upper right arm sleeve and one gold chevron on his lower right arm sleeve (indicating wounded in action). He wears a M1917 helmet with the chipstrap around his neck and a rifle over his right shoulder. Manning grips the strap of his rifle with his right hand.
