Description (Brief)
This engraved wood block was used to print an image in the publication "United States Exploring Expedition, During the Years 1838, 1839, 1840, 1841, 1842, Zoophytes," by Charles D. Dana, 1846, Volume 7, page 25, figure 11, Sertularia. The image was drawn by Charles Pickering and engraved by an unknown artist. It was originally printed by C. Sherman of Philadelphia.
