- This engraved printing plate was prepared to print the image "Macroura. Pl. 33" for the publication "United States Exploring Expedition, During the Years 1838, 1839, 1840, 1841, 1842," Volume 13-14, Crustacea, Atlas, in the edition Philadelphia : C. Sherman, 1855. The plate images were engraved by W. H. Dougal after J. D. Dana.
