Description (Brief)
This zither was made by Franz Schwarzer in Washington, Missouri, about 1909. It is a table top Concert model, serial #9849, with 38 strings (5 drone, 33 accompaniment). Accessioned with accessories: 2 tuning wrenches, 2 pitch pipe tubes, 4 thumb picks, 1 brush, 1 duster, 4 coasters and books: 1 music manuscript, 1 book bound sheet music.
