Description (Brief)
This sheet music for the song “A Little Rose from Dixieland” was written by Will A. Heeland and composed by Harry Von Tilzer. The music was originally published by Shapiro, Bernstein and Von Tilzer of New York, New York in 1902, and appeared as a supplement to the “New York Herald” on March 23, 1902. The cover features a drawing of a rose on the right and an illustration of an older black man sniffing a rose from a flower stand while a white woman looks on in the background.
