- 1964 Topps round, metal, orange colored bottlecap #147 with a color photograph of All-Star Dick Groat, National League shortstop on the front and statistics on reverse. Dick Groat was one of many All-Stars featured on milk bottle caps to encourage fans to acquire each cap in the collection.
- Dick Groat was a shortstop for various teams including the Pirates (1952, 1955-62), Cardinals (1963-65), Phillies (1966-67), and Giants (1967). In 1960, he won the Most Valuable Player award for the National League, the Lou Gehrig Award, and had the highest batting average in the National League with a.325. He also played in five All-Star games in 1959, 1960, and from 1962 to 1964. He did not play during the 1953-54 seasons for he was fulfilling a commitment to the US Army. Although he eventually chose baseball, Groat was also a star basketball player and was inducted to the National College Basketball Hall of Fame.
