Description
This Mike Newlin basketball card is number 128 in a series of 264 that was manufactured by the Topps Company Inc. for the 1972-1973 National Basketball Association season. The front of the card features a posed picture of the Houston Rockets guard on a pink background. The card’s reverse features a small cartoon image illustrating the factoid that “Mike played in post-season Aloha classic all-star game,” as well as a short biography and career statistics.
Newlin played in the NBA for 11 years, eight with the Houston Rockets, two with the New Jersey Nets, and one with the New York Knicks. with a career average of.870, Newlin was noted for his extremely good free throw shooting.
