Description
This Bernie Williams basketball card is number 186 in a series of 264 that was manufactured by the Topps Company Inc. for the 1972-1973 American Basketball Association season. The front of the card features a posed picture of the Virginia Squires guard on a yellow background. The card’s reverse features a small cartoon image illustrating the factoid that “Bernie and teammate Roland Taylor are childhood buddies,” as well as a short biography and career statistics.
Williams played two seasons in the NBA with the San Diego Rockets from 1969-1971, and played two full seasons with the Virginia Squires from 1971 to 1973. For the 1973-74 season, Williams appeared in only six games for the Squires.
