Description
This Austin Carr basketball card is number 90 in a series of 264 that was manufactured by the Topps Company Inc. for the 1972-1973 National Basketball Association (NBA) season. The front of the card features a posed picture of the Cleveland Cavaliers guard on a green background. The card’s reverse features a small cartoon image illustrating the factoid that “Austin suffered a broken bone in his right foot last season,” as well as a short biography and career statistics.
Carr played for the Cavaliers from 1971-1980. Carr was named to the NBA's All-Rookie 1st Team in the 1971-72 season and in 1974 was selected to the NBA's All-Star team. Carr played his last season (1980-81) split between the Dallas Mavericks and Washington Bullets.
