Description
This Clifford Ray basketball card is number 16 in a series of 264 manufactured by the Topps Company Inc. of New York, New York for the 1973-1974 NBA season. The front of the card features a posed picture of the Chicago Bulls center. The card’s reverse features a small cartoon image illustrating the factoid that “Clifford is a shot-blocker on defense,” as well as a short biographical sketch and career statistics.
Ray played in the NBA for ten years (1971 - 1981), three with the Bulls and seven with the Golden State Warriors, with whom he won a championship in 1975. Ray has been an assistant coach with several different NBA teams, including the 2008 champion Boston Celtics.
