Description (Brief)
This sheet music is for the song, “JA-DA.” The song was written and composed by Bob Carleton and published by Leo Feist Inc. Bob Carleton was a member of the United States Navy Reserve Forces (U.S.N.R.F.). This sheet music is the “Patriotic War Edition,” where the paper is smaller than usual to conserve paper for the war effort. The proceeds from the sale of this sheet music went to the Navy Relief Society. The cover features a picture of three men by a piano, Carlteon, Sobol, and Rosenberg titled the “Ja-Da Trio.”

I have this sheet music. It belonged to my grandfather, who was a jazz musician in St Louis. I have it framed and hanging by my grandparents' piano. What a treat to see the Smithsonian also had a copy!
