”So Am I” was featured in the Broadway musical Lady, Be Good, with music by George Gershwin, lyrics by Ira Gershwin, and story written by Guy Bolten and Fred Thompson. Lady Be Good opened on Broadway at the Liberty Theatre on December 1, 1924, with a run of 330 performances. This was the first Broadway collaboration for Ira and George Gershwin.
