Description (Brief)
This sheet music is for the song “I Will Be True to Thee.” The song was written and composed by Scott Foster and published by Charles W. Harris of New York, New York in 1862. The song was contained in a collection called “Foster’s Melodies” which contained 24 songs, mostly relating to the Civil War. Foster was an extremely proficient composer, composing such timeless classics as “Oh! Susannah,” “My Old Kentucky Home” and “Camptown Races.”
