- This sheet music is for the song “Great Day” whose lyrics were written by William Rose and Edward Eliscu, and whose music was composed by Vincent Youmans. The sheet music was published by the Miller Music Corporation in 1929, and was part of the “Miller Art Series.” The song is from a musical play of the same name that was unsuccessful on Broadway, but purchased by MGM to be made into a movie because of the popularity of the music. The movie was made, but never released because of studio dissatisfaction.
