Description (Brief)
This sheet music is for the song “By the Old Oak Tree” from the musical comedy “The Rogers Brothers in Paris.” The sheet music was published by The Rogers Bros. Music Publishing Co. in 1904. The green cover features a circular inset photograph of Gus Rogers and Max Rogers, the stars of the show. The book for the musical was written by J.J. McNally, the lyrics for the song were written by George V. Hobart and Ed Gardenier, and the music was composed by Max Hoffman. This show was part of series of shows of “The Roger Brothers in…” that ran from 1899-1907.
