“Hiawatha”

Description (Brief):

This sheet music is for the song “Hiawatha,” that was written and composed by Neil Moret. The Whitney Warner Publishing Company of Detroit, Michigan published the sheet music in 1902. The black cover has a central illustration of seated Indian woman. The song became extremely popular in the United States during the early 20th century, helping to set off a trend of “Indian songs.”
