- Pennant representing the Ballou High School Knights is dark blue with yellow lettering and the team emblem. Ballou High School is located in the District of Columbia and is a part of the District of Columbia Public Schools. The school was established in 1958. The school serves the residents of southern Anacostia including Congress Heights, Washington Highlands, and Bellevue. Danny Gatton, an American guitarist, who has been selected by several sources, including Rolling Stone, as one of the greatest guitarist of all time, graduated from Ballou High School.
