My uncle was in the Royal Australian Air Force sent to Korea and very badly burnt in 1953.The United State Navy took him to one of thier hospital ships. Returning to Australia and ten years of progressive skin graft surgery. He had the same USA MD robe. His sister, my mother used bits of this redish courduroy to repair and patch our cushions, make a robe for her 4 year old son (me) and patch up my old stuffed toy tiger cat.
Don't care what anyone says, that robe is NOT purple! It is a Cranberry Red!
