BULLARD COMPANY / 275 EIGHTH STREET, SAN FRANCISCO.” Yet another reads “DESIGNED BY / STANDARD OIL COMPANY / OF CALIFORNIA/ PATENT NO 1,575,206.” The referenced patent was issued to Louis P. Howe, a surgeon in San Francisco.
