Metal container with a “BULLARD / CYLINDRICAL / FIRST AID / KIT” inscription. An inscription on the cloth container inside reads “MANUFACTURED BY / E. D. BULLARD COMPANY / 275 EIGHTH STREET, SAN FRANCISCO.” Yet another reads “DESIGNED BY / STANDARD OIL COMPANY / OF CALIFORNIA/ PATENT NO 1,575,206.” The referenced patent was issued to Louis P. Howe, a surgeon in San Francisco.
