Psychographic Record Blank for Use in Connection with the Stanford Revision of the Binet-Simon Tests

- This record blank is designed for plotting results of the Stanford Revision of the Binet-Simon Tests, the better to understand the individual strengths and weaknesses of children. Responses to different parts of the scale were grouped in the fourteen categories of language comprehension, spontaneous interest, motor coordination, attention, special relations, discrimination, comparison, comprehension, memory, orientation in time, mental imagery, maturity, associative processes, and thinking. A child was to be rated from a mental age of 2 to 20 in each of these areas, and the assessments graphed.
- The author, Elizabeth Teresa Sullivan (1877-1949), was born and raised in Los Angeles, and attended Cahenga School and Los Angles Normal School, She went on receive a B.A. from the University of California, an M.A. from Stanford, and a doctorate in from Columbia University (1922). Sullivan then returned to Los Angeles and assumed a variety of teaching, administrative, and advisory positions. When she published this test in 1926, she was supervising the remedial reading and Binet testing programs of the Los Angeles Public Schools. She retired in 1944 as supervisor for psychology and educational research for the Los Angeles County Board of Education.
