- This test of memory consists of twenty green cards containing fifteen stories of various lengths. They are categorized as either exposition, narration, or description. The subjects are:
- 1-The Migration of Birds
- 2-Our Jumping Equipment
- 3-The Old Angler’s Cottage
- 4-The Buried Treasure
- 5-A Schoolroom
- 6-An Anecdote of Mark Twain
- 7-Anthony-over
- 8-Christopher Colombus Risdale. This card is adapted from Edward Eggleston, “The Hoosier Schoolboy,” published by Charles Scribner’s Sons.
- 9-The Wind and the Son
- 10-My First Fishing Excursion
- 11-Smoke
- 12-The Schoolroom. This card is adapted from Charles Dickens
- 13-The Forest Ranger. This card is adapted from Overton Price.
- 14-First Thanksgiving Day.
- 15-Sir Francis Drake. This card names Charles Kingsley at the bottom.
